Great moments from the gambling underground

I'll try and jump back into this blog with a weekly installment.  Much like "successful" people who stand in front of their flat screens at 7am with a cup of coffee watching the Nikkei close and the commodities fluctuate, I spend my late nights watching WCC and Pac-10 basketball and take notes.  Not notes in a book more like angry notes stored inside me.  So here are my big 3 from the past week.

1)
Undoubtedly the 15-yard penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct has become a game changer.  And without going into a racial diatribe the fact is this; During the national title game numerous black players were flagged for unsportsmanlike, while Tim Tebow was allowed to yell, scream, jump up and down and taunt opposing players.  This goes beyond my dislike for him, this is truly unfair.

2)
Do not, I repeat do not put Notre Dame past your elite eight.  Great power forward, point guard, and three point shooters, but an awful coach.  My pet peeve?   When a team has the ball with a chance to win the game with the shot clock unplugged and do not get a shot off.  Notre Dame did just that last night against Louisville.  Literally a fan in the crowd could have drawn up a better play then stall for 15 seconds and dive into the lane and turn it over.

3)
The NFL playoffs.  This is the second consecutive year I'm in a position to lose money on the playoffs, because the wildcard teams are killing.  So a friendly reminder to everyone who disagreed with me that Tennessee and New York were the worst 1-2 teams in the history of the NFL.  If you can't score you can't win, I don't give a shit who you have on defense.  With that being said I like a turnpike super bowl Pittsburgh-Philadelphia.  If you have any friends who are fans of either of these teams I suggest offering them a large sum of money to not talk about their teams over the next two weeks or just end the friendship with a cheap shot to the back of the head with a skillet.

Um, Tebow did get flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct. He did the Gator chop at someone in the Sooner secondary, and it was called.

They called that penalty with under 2 mins left when the game was already decided because he got in someone's face and did the chomp. He did it all game long and never got flagged when it mattered.

Well, with apologies to Jon Kitna and Kurt Warner, he is God's quarterback. The officials were probably weighed down by a let he without sin cast the first flag moral dilemma for the first 58 minutes of the game. It's understandable.
